Mental Note Lite ๛ App Reviews

Its just like the iPhones "Notes"! It does all the same things except with  or  extra unnecessary features!

Good

Very versatile and flexible. Wish it had two additional features 1) Zoom when drawing, and 2) landscape size paper that allowed use of full width of landscape horizontal space. Wish current reviews were more objective, this app has a great deal of potential.

Love it!

Love that I can take a pic of my grocery list and mark off items as I get them... Just like pen and paper!

Poor sketching

Great idea, except for one big shortcoming. The finger drawn portion only reads the position of your finger every quarter second or so, making for very unnatural sketches. Up it to 10 Hz or so and it would be great. Please fix!

Slow 

Very slow not even able to use it. (Crashes on startup)

Asian language text problems

I really wanted to like this app; the feature set is pretty good, but there is a problem with Asian language text (Chinese or Japanese) on a note. You can enter the text in the note fine but any the Asian language text simply disappears when the note is e-mailed as a pdf, while other text (even in Greek, Cyrillic, and Hebrew alphabets) remains. If the note is e-mailed as a picture, the Asian language text appears, but then you cannot copy and paste it. I see that no specifically Chinese/Japanese fonts are options in the app, but this should not be an obstacle, given that in Apples Notes, you normally have *no* choice of font, but it still understands when you are inputting Chinese and switches automatically to an appropriate font. Similarly, NoteMaster has no problem with Chinese/Japanese even with the same font (Helvetica) chosen as I had in Mental Note, and AwesomeNote also handles Chinese/Japanese with the default font setting. Maybe the difference is these other apps all export text as text, not as a pdf. But the inability to export text by e-mail is my other main objection to MentalNote. If the language support doesnt matter to you and your focus is more one audio and images, rather than text, then this is a nice app. It would be better, though, if there were one universal app, rather than separate iPad and iPhone apps.

Good except for one prob.

I dont like how it saves the photo you take to the photo roll.

It wont load, and I cant delete it

This is so bad that it wont load.

Uuuuh

Only 2 notes???? Retarded... Waste of space, wish I didnt have to star it ;(((

Good But Only 2 Notes!?

Being able to attach multiple pictures and audio to a note is killer! The only problem is that you can only make TWO NOTES in the lite version which makes this app pretty useless.

Lite?

This app give "Lite" a bad name.

Why only 2 themes?

The drawing on canvas and audio integration is awesome. But I hate notes with lines on the paper. For 3 bucks I want a few more note background options. Aside from that its a very good app and I am cool with the single note limitation to evaluate. It astounds me how people think everything should be free. Add the background options and you got my 

Super useful and great time-saver!

Just tried the free version and I loved it so much that I bought the full version of Mental Note. Great to take photos of my items that I sell on eBay and then add my notes to the pic before posting to eBay. Definite time-saver for consolidating my notes into one package finally!

Very nice app but could be great

Awesome app that in my book lacks 4 main features: 1. Need to be able to free form crop pictures and resize to a chosen resolution. This would vastly help in creating smaller pdfs. 2. Ability to rearrange picture/text/voice order after typing or taking pictures. This would be very helpful when one takes a picture, draws on it, then would like to move it in the note. 3. Export PDF to other App. For me that is Download Manager. This would allow me to much more quickly download notes I convert to PDF. 4. Export to word or other editable format. Once I get home I would like to refine text etc ... (this is not as important but would just be helpful). Maybe not specific to Word but some other open format. Overall this is so nice. Ability to take a picture then draw on it, then put some text and email as PDF is amazing. I plan to buy the app, just hoping development has not stopped.

Suuuucks!!!!

Wont let you do ANUTHINGGG!!!!!!

Awesome

I totally LUV it!!!!!!!!

Busy Mind!

I have a lot of thoughts going thru my head all of the time and I usually like to keep a pen and pad somewhere near my usual thinking places, but then I have small notes everywhere and the thoughts I thought I was saving become lost among the papers. Sooo I found this app while frustrated by my influx of thoughts (end of month at work, end of semester in school, and beginning of summer which means setting out goals)... Lets just say this app was the RELIEF my mind needed. I can put it all out in drawings or typing or any of their other options and its all down in the same place available for review on a object thats always with me, my phone sure my brains always with me but not always so organized. Lets just say i feel this app was made for me :)

Nice one ever

This is the best for student that like easy note on the go..... Yall have fun I love it ooooo nice

why the ads?

it tells me that it limits you to two notes in the light version, but then proceeds to serve up ads. If you are going to give me ads, why the note limitation?

Just about there!

Please include a bullet for my list, I especially like the check boxes because they are so satisfying. It would be good to have a variety of backgrounds and fonts. And how does it sync to my calendar? What about maps and address book? Keep working on it and I will purchase the full app!
